Documents Required for H1-B Stamping

If you are applying for an H-1B visa, you need to take all the following documents to the embassy for stamping

• Present the original petition approval (I-797)
• The complete petition submitted by your prospective employer
• Labor Condition Agreement (LCA)
• The originals of your university degree certificate, and mark sheets
• Originals of your work experience letters.
• Take a complete set of photocopies of the above listed documents.
• Visa application (which will be available in embassy entrance or you can download the form from any one of the embassy site in PDF format)
• Demand Draft for Application fee.
• Demand Draft for Visa Issuance fee.

Fee Detail

Separate demand drafts are necessary for the application and issuance fees. Your name and passport number must be included on the reverse of the demand draft. Demand drafts without this information will not be accepted. The fees listed below are effective November 1, 2000.

NIV application fee (1) Demand Draft	Rs. 2115	This fee is non-refundable and payable whether a visa is issued or not.
Issuance Fee ALL visas regardless of validity (1) Demand Draft	Rs. 3525	B-1/B-2,D, F-1/2, H-1/4, I, J-1/2, L-1/2, M, O, P
